so here she is in melbourne for a short visit for the very first time after 10years!

the night before she departs from melbourne,
she cooked us LAKSA SARAWAK
as a farewell dinner + cousins gathering

new faces which doesn't belong to the KHOOs or ONGs
hahahha.. are the adopted cousins, they said.

we had yum cha for lunch

and i have no idea how to view them
tried downloading software to convert them
but they all came out to be white and red..

I was invited to a "tea party" of a friend who is getting married in a month later.

funny thing is that i was invited to her engagement party last year,
her tea party a month before the wedding
but not to her registry..

odd no?

but it's lucky that i wasn't
i couldn't have attend it tomorrow

Trip to Bendigo _ Day 2

i requested to visit the largest church in Bendigo!
we packed up, checked out!

i noticed that i have a very hygiene practice!
that i shower everynight before bed and every morning after bed.
most of them DON'T
lol....smelly pigs.

the weather wasn't as nice as the previous day..
slight drizzling during the morning,
cloudy
and no sunshine

Trip to Bendigo _ Day 1

Okie.. since after the first road trip I did with Emm was a good one.

I've been keen to go around a few more places that we've missed during the last road trip.

So i proposed a trip with my colleagues,
coincidentally PongSuan came to Melbourne too for a short holidays...

So..

Here we go...

then we had lunch at malmsbury..
not so lucky this saturday..
no MG cars around
malmsbury is so quiet
just a few locals or tourists hanging around for a cold beers, coffees & cakes

reached Bendigo slightly an hour late from schedule...
but we still manage to join the last Gold Mining tour
just behind where we were staying!

before that.. we dropped by Information Center to collect some brochures
and had a short walk around








waiting impatiently to check in


k.. this gold mining tour consisted of us 7 engineers.. 6 from civil and 1 mechanical.
lol..
we do looked like a professional one working with the mining company, NO?
especially me... why? lol...continue for answer.


coz i was being chosen to demonstrate how to use the mining machines to a group of NOOBS!!
lol

after the gold mining tour.. we headed back to the Garden next to the information center and guess what...

too many cook spoiled the soup
indeed
deciding where to have dinner was really a hard time
everyone has different thing in mind that they crave for..

a few were on fine dining.. steaks! to be exact
some were on budget line..
and some wants something light and easy!
a bit of conflict i sensed
but in the end...
we all settled down in a restaurant which seems to serve all category



the night was till young..

as we're waiting to view the full moon..
we had mooncakes for dessert..
some tea
but apparently didn't get to see the round bright moon

anywhere.. happy "belated" mooncake festival everyone.

after a long day car ride...

we had a night here in Hepburn Springs

we headed to a so called antiques shop....early in the morning

to the mineral springs

it tasted like rusty water....

huh?? it's the pure thing containing all those minerals" she said..helping herself...


i looked like a ghost.. omg.. but that's the only picture of both of us being so close together.

not expensive actually..
all bcoz of someone's auntie came during the wrong time.. we would have enjoyed skinny dipping.. lol..
